Additional services and tips
We're happy to recommend other options to help you make the most of your stay abroad. In Australia and New Zealand, we work with experienced colleagues who offer landing days in both Auckland and Adelaide and, upon request, provide additional support for students throughout their stay. We're also happy to assist you with booking flights, offering tips and organizing group flights. We provide detailed step-by-step instructions for the required visa.

The big topic of host families
Host families can be very different, but they are all happy to welcome a new family member into their family. Often, bonds are formed that last well beyond the year abroad. To make it easier for our partners at the school to select host families, we try to provide them with the best possible information.
Families willing to host an international student are carefully screened by the schools, visited regularly, and monitored. For this purpose, all schools have student coordinators whose job it is to look after the well-being of international students. They act as a link between the host family, the school, and the organization, organize excursions, assist with all kinds of problems, and are available 24/7.
Of course, it's perfectly normal to get to know each other thoroughly in your host family first. However, despite all due care, disagreements between the young people and the host family cannot be ruled out. In such a case, you can contact the on-site student coordinator or our 24-hour support team directly at any time. Often, a joint discussion is enough, but sometimes a change of host family is the best solution.
